Google Hangouts to be introduced at Google I/O

Google will reportedly introduce its unified messaging system at this week's Google I/O developer conference; as we've previously reported, the name of the system will not be Google Babel, but will be called Google Hangouts. If that name sounds familiar to you, it is because Google already uses Hangouts for its video chat-room service...

I'm actually a little saddened by the fact that the name has been converted to such a simple name like 'Hangouts' which is already in use. I really liked the name Babel from a biblical standing.

Maybe they didn't want too use Babel for simply that reason... Some people are already trying to tie Google in with the illuminate... Soooooo.... One World Order.

The mai reason why Google didn't use Babel as its unified label is that it sounds like Babble, which isn't a positive thing at all from the definition of that word "Babble". Also, going forward with Hangouts makes it seem more familiar to those who already used their video chat-room service.
