Sure, he can have his pick of any Android device that comes off the line, but instead, Eric Schmidt was caught using a BlackBerry to take a picture...

I don't think you understand what markemark said. If you look closely at the picture you will see a blackberry phone with a google sticker on the back.

That's shocking and hilarious at the same time. I think its really bad for the CEO to be caught using a blackberry. If it was some google employee, it wouldn't really matter. But this is the CEO! What was he thinking? That's like seeing Steve Jobs using at PC at a local Starbucks.

Actually Mr. Schmidt is currently part of Apple's board of directors, so a more shocking surprise would be him using an iPhone, LOL! Seriously though; he is one of two board members directing at Google and Apple at the same time. Can you say "conflict of interest"?

I say really? Who cares. Point is, Google isn't strictly an Os company, Android is a side project, as in, if Android goes down the drain, Google will still make profit in another area. Plus if the dude likes BB's then he likes BB's. I mean, would it be shocking if the President of the US decided to strictly drive Mercedes?

Your making "0" points by what your saying, he is the CEO of a company that provides service through cell phones, sure its not there main thing but I know working for Verizon I wouldnt be caught carrying an iPhone and I'm not even that high up the chain...If the creator and oner doesnt prefer what he has created over the competition than where is the credibility in the product....The presedent doesnt own BMW so if he drives a Merc than he drives a Merc...Your point was missing completely and now your an idiot.

I mean, I'm sorry if you're trapped by a corporation that's just like every other corporation, just in a different color box. Truth of the matter is, you can use whatever product you like. But don't get mad because I don't see the importance of sucking a company's kcoc. Now back to my point, if Google was strictly a wireless manufacturer, then yes, this pic would leave a nasty taste in ppl's mouths. The thing is, Google is not solely a wireless manufacturer, Android is still a young OS, where in 90% of consumers don't even know what Android is, must less anything that's not Windows Mobile. So kid, you're missing the point. But go ahead, hype up this pic, the world is coming to an end..bla bla, w/e....

You're getting a little too defensive. And PapaJay224 actually makes sense. For example, most of us knows about the rivalry between PCs and Macs. The CEO of Microsoft and the CEO of Apple are trying to convince people that their product is the best. It will not look right if someone like Steve Jobs uses a PC because that contradicts all Apple's advertising. If the Mac was a great as Apple makes it out to be then he wouldn't need a personal PC. Steve Jobs better still be using an iPhone. Bill Gates better have a windows mobile phone. John Rubinstein better have a Palm Pre. The CEO of Verizon better have Verizon cellular service. When I first saw the picture I was pretty surprised because all I ever heard was how great and how much potential the Android operating system has. But when I saw the picture the first thing I thought was that it might not be as great as everyone is saying if it's not even good enough for the CEO .

That could be a reason, but that's tough luck for him. But that shouldn't be his excuse because all the final decisions (including what features Android has to offer or what platform the operating system will be avaliable on) should have been confirmed by him. And Im not saying that it's right or fair that his choices are limited, Im just saying that's the way it is and that's what people expect. Not many would sign up for a cable company if 95% of the employees have satellite. Not many people would expect a personal trainer to be like 200 pounds overweight. I mean the guy can still be a good trainer, but people won't be as confident just because of that. And let's say you go to Verizon to buy a blackberry. How would you feel if 7/10 employees had an iPhone on their belt? You probably wouldn't be swayed but Um sure some people would, just like I was when I saw the CEO in the picture above.

Steve jobs right hand man was actually caught using a berry as well, sounds like even the phone creators still have something to take away from the old berry after all..I also agree with Mark that is 100% a storm with a google sticker on it... Storm FTW

Who cares! These are the kind of posts that encourage people too pick sides and declare what phone they think is better. All we get out of this are a whole bunch of fanboys ripping on a man that they don't and probably will never know and people talking sh*t about a company they could never manage. Get a life and move on. Being concerned with what cellphone the CEO of a company uses is ridiculous. This site should be for people too come and look at phone reviews(by the writers, no fanboys), and what new phones and/or features or coming out for the respected phones, not the gossip of a CEO using another company's product. Thanks phonearena, for yet again providing us useless information.

Its all about creditbility, how much creditbility does a product carry (which is important when looking to review a product) when the CEO of the company isnt using thier own device. Your right who cares about the politics or phone wars its the principle of purchase and advertising combined with credibility of the product. which happends to be what this site is all about, finding the right phone. free advertising for BBerry...
