Gmail update optimizes the Android app for 7-inch tablets

Got that brand new Google Nexus 7 tablet? It’s a great device, but not all apps are optimized perfectly for the 7 inch screen. Up until now, Gmail was one of them but this latest update to the app makes it fully compatible and optimized for 7-inch devices like the Nexus 7 tablet. All other 7 inchers will benefit from the update as well.
The other improvements coming with the update include some bug fixes and under the hood fine tunings by Google. Sadly, though, pinching to zoom in is still not supported in the app.
To use the tablet-optimized version of the app, you’d need to go on Google Play and update to the newest version. If for some reason beyond us you don’t have the Gmail app just yet, hit the download link below to get it.
