Gmail app for BlackBerry devices to support push email
A post by a company employee on the official Google Mobile Help forum reveals a new version of the Gmail app for BlackBerry devices rolls up next month. It will allow receiving push emails, which is definitely good news. It would be even better if we see that Google Sync support push as well, so as to finally allow constant synchronization of contacts and calendar events. While keeping our fingers crossed for this to happen, we have to admit there is a little something we are worried about - push support will be integrated into  "Google Apps Premiere Edition and Education Edition”, which probably means it will be paid and not free.

I don't understand the full benefit. I have my gmail account set up on my Blackberry already.
