And it would be soooo much easier for computers to process - Morse code is binary (dot and dash). Just think of how fast even the slowest handset would be running Morse.....

actually, i would not mind trying this. It really seemed to be the only way to type on the screen without looking at it. But, its april fools

Damn... Google is on a roll this April 1st.
I cant decide if I like Google Maps 8-bit for the NES or this Gmail Tap more. The day's not even over yet. I wonder if there will be anything else?

Could we perhaps have a poll about which product we like more? :-D

next, apple releases iDot in iOS6 with the follow up in iOS7.. iDash, and then promptly sues google saying that iDot was in development first, and thus, they invented it.

I was waiting for Google to come out with a good april fools joke, almost didnt think they would until i saw the actually dot dash keys, and was like what the heck...Google, awesome company...
