I really, really still prefer physical keyboards. I guess that makes me a dinosaur.
If you want to talk about why people are so attached to their smartphones, it's clearly connectivity. For better or for worse, being able to reach or be reached by family and friends is really what it is all about.

My data connection. What good is a smart phone without it?

Would have to be style. All these phones are spec'd pretty well to run android. I need a phone that physically stands out from the pack.

Pure speed! It a must have today. All the features in the world, can't help you, without speed.

the Camera, a lot easier to just carry your phone instead of the phone and a separate camera in your pockets

It needs to have a fast processor and good internet browsing. Also security is a big plus.

Screen! Lots and lots of colorful, sharp-looking pixels. That Optimus G's got a glorious screen on it. A good camera would be my close #2.
Thanks pA.

The most important feature for me in a smartphone would have to be the processor. Being able to do everything that i need it to do quickly and efficiently is huge.

id say its a tie between aftermarket developer support for the phone and the phones build quality.
moto photon please!

LG Optimus G for me !
Features thats most important feature would be the processor and display size secondary, a poor processor kills the phone performance making it hard to enjoy a large screen size since it would be freezing all the time.

The screen and the keyboard. The optimus g and the photon q is are the best examples of these too.

The most valuable feature in a smartphone for me is the Operating System(and it's smooth operation). Android, all the way!

I said Battery for last, so for this I will say hardware keyboard. Touch screens are ok, but usually need a powerful keyboard to compensate. And, I don't want any of the lame offerings like in the past. Give me a keyboard in a highend phone with good screen, battery, processor, and memory.
