thats an achievement, chinese vendors are becoming more n more innovative recently... but less thickness resulted in the battery compromise, which I dont think is a good point at all

2100 mAh for a 4,8'' 720p display and snapdragon 400 is not bad at all! (did anyone say Galaxy Alpha?) :)

*teaches Galaxy alpha a lesson*
Thinner than alpha still got decent size battery.

and does it have a removable battery too ? The SoC of Alpha is very efficient and uses tremendously less power.

Samsung is the best android manufacturer when it comes to battery optimization. Wait for the battery life test before jumping to conclusions. The fact this it is supporting JellyBean leads me to believe the it won't match Alpha's battery life.
.
Also, camera plays a big role in thickness of the phone. Alpha has 12MP camera while this only has 8MP.

''very efficent and uses less power'' you speak what samsung says. I think you are hurry to make conclusion. for that reason I commented.

This is not only what Samsung said but it is confirmed by AnandTech:

'The end-effect is that we should expect an average drop in voltage of about 125mV' - AnandTech

So yeah my statement is correct when i say it uses less power.

LOL....How is stating a FACT jumping to conclusion ?!

The world's first SoC at 20nm architecture, Exynos 5430, uses 25% less power then SoC at 28nm. That is a fact not conclusion.

Fact ≠ conclusion.

OMG...Did you read what I wrote ?! Its a FACT !!!! A fact can't change ! No website can deny that.

I'll ride the London eye naked if you can provide me the link to ANY (I repeat ANY) reliable site that says Exynos 5430 is not more power efficient.

The thing is you are falling flat on your face. First you accuse me that this is what Samsung said then when I give you link of AnandTech (which is not the same as 'every site'), you say every other website say different things.

Stop embarrassing yourself further please.

And I bet that the majority of people out there will rather spend their money on a product manufactured by a company known for it's reliability.
Just like China offers cars that have the latest technology in it, and yet people outside of China will spend double that amount for a featureless Camry (for example) but a more reliable car.

ofcourse... you are perfectly right about it.... in cars china is not getting any fame but in phones it does.... beside that, in product selection perceived value and brand image plays an important role... usually customers go for well known n established brands bcoz they trust they will get a good stuff... for example, iphone has a very high perceived value in the mind of customers, so they pay high price for such a lowly or mid range specd phone without even thinking that apple is ripping them off due to this brand image.... but not all manufacturers are like this, for example samsung is offering lastest and optimum specs in what they are charging

CARS are bought to run for years , phones are more likely to be replaces in months , i could make so many arguments but i'll just let it be.

Says who? As far as I know, phones don't get replaced within months, that's the case with the majority of people.

not in months, thats an anxious claim.... but phones usually get replaced in a year or two but for cars, it takes atleast 3-5 years in most cases and sometime longer as well

yes I'd rather pay 1000$ and get a Samsung, and not 100$ to get an iphone copy sony imitating cheapo chinese cellphone whom everybody laughs at ( the 50 conehe@ds on this website and the barrbarrians in some countries not counted )

My band aid is respected everywhere, my band aid is awesome, my band aid is unique, my band aid is made by the world leader, not by some cheapo poor iphone copy cr@p of a phone .. I'd rather not own a smartphone or a car than to own a chinese cheapo copy cat .. when I talk to friends who have iOS about android, they say android is cheap. I say how the h*ll are Sonys Samsungs and HTCs cheap? they say: what about those chinese brands that copy apple? ... these terrible brands are hurting android so bad and making apple look even more unique.

lol you make me smile lol s5 materials are not good. look at samsung's 9 series laptops, thats the best combination of design and material. samsung can do it but they dont want it for some reason.

removable batteries are signature of samsung... and samsung is notorious for good battery optimizations and timings... as per the reviews I read on many sites, elife s5.5 was midiocre in battery life, results were not appreciable at all... anyway its not fair to compare samsung with elife, both have different focus
