It's great that Android is open source. That is why they are #1. It gives the power to the people & everyone benefits. Android is #1 and will be #1 for a very, very long time! Apple had some good ideas but they are like the old U.S.S.R. only telling their customers what they want & get. I feel bad for those Apple customers that are brainwashed & don't know that the grass is greener on the Android side. Android is the total opposite & that is why they are #1! LOL

If other manufacturers or carriers allow timely updates its just a matter of when android will be ruling forever and ever and ever ever

It would be nice for the US Galaxy S device to get updated to Gingerbread sooner than they did getting updated to 2.2, but I wonder when the HTC Evo Shift will get updated to Gingerbread; hopefully not too long from now.

Hopefully they'll have fixed the forced GeoTagging on the camera by then. I like using my GPS nav but hate having to turn off GPS completely so I can take pictures without people knowing where I live/play/work ect.
