Gingerbread ported to the Samsung Galaxy S

The Samsung Galaxy S receives its crude Android 2.3 Gingerbread port just hours after the official kernel release. Most connectivity options like voice, Wi-Fi and GPS are not operational yet, but give the XDA-Devs some time...

Nice. I'm sure that it wont take very long to get everything working just fine on the Galaxy S devices.

ROMs already have the GINGERBREAD keyboard on it, but it is not QWERTY....the CAPTIVATE is quite capable of running 2.3 and even the SENSE UI from HTC....just takes time.
