We know you're all waiting patiently for your Gingerbread update. Or maybe you're not. Maybe you've already loaded one of the custom ROMs available, but those are still unstable at best.

Why don't you settle for a little taste of Android 2.3, in the form of the Gingerbread Launcher app?

The free Gingerbread Launcher app, available in the Android Market, will give your launcher the look and feel of Gingerbread. Best of all, you don't need a rooted device to run the app.

Gingerbread Launcher gives you the special green touches, along with two shortcuts and five home screens. Users are reporting that response time is very snappy, and there have been very few reports of problems. While you're at it, try out the Gingerbread keyboard.
