Garmin nuvifone headed to AT&T?
Garmin nuvifone headed to AT&T?
A user survey sent out by Garmin may have shown some of the manufacturer's cards for their upcoming nüvifone. The survey purportedly asks users: "Now, how likely would you be to buy the Garmin nüvifone (for yourself or as a gift) if offered by AT&T for $499.99 with a two year contract? You would be required to have both a data plan that would include unlimited Internet browsing and unlimited Navigation for $19.99 per month and one of the standard voice rate plans for a monthly fee."

The feature set is pretty impressive- 3.5" touchscreen, HSDPA, WiFi, media player, 3 megapixel camera and, of course, GPS- but $500 on contract seems a bit steep. Here's hoping the user feedback brings that price down some before the targeted 3Q release.

$500 is wayyyy too much money for this phone. Especially since this is their first phone and nobody knows how dependable Garmin phones are. After all, phones are different than GPS devices. Plus, most regular phones have GPS and can cost less than $200. For AT&T, I'd rather have an iPhone.

If AT&T get this one, they must stop selling di almighty iPhone (which a really do not like at all). Nuviphone got what Iphone is missing - a fantastic GPS.

I want the Nuvifone...NOW! I'd pay the $500 Just wish the $20/month was like $5 for the unlimited browsing etc...If that's the case..can't we just make internet phone calls to minimize plan size?

500 is awsome price considering the fact that all i have to do is take a photo of where i am and send it to another nuviphone user and the phone will route them to my location this is great for wemon or anyone that has car trouble and does not know exactly where they are
