There's probably some change done for the Xperia PLAY if they are being announced specially for it (which i doubt, it's probably just for publicity) because most of these games are now old and they already run on my Samsung Galaxy S Captivate flawlessly.

I don't believe the age of the game or the ability to run on another device is relevant. The importance of this phone, is the fact that it has a built in game controller. Playing games designed to be played with a physical controller are not enjoyable to play with a touchscreen. Using a keyboard to substitute for a controller is ok, but certain games are very difficult to play this way and not worth the limits it imposes.

I would very much enjoy having this phone to play the classic nes/snes/psx games of my youth. Newer games will appeal to a younger market, but the ability to play classic games the way they were meant to be played will appeal to the late 20's/early 30's market.
