Galaxy S6, S6 edge across Europe & Asia now receive an OTA update: improved fingerprint scanning, more

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge have already been on the shelves for a month now, where they are reportedly a massive hit among consumers. True to the flagship status of the devices, Samsung has made a good job in keeping its newest devices up to date. Recently, the European version of the forerunner received a minor update in certain regions, while another one aimed to improve the memory management of the phones.

A new update is currently rolling out across Europe and Asia under the XXU1AOE3 build number and is 159MB in size. We can say that this one is a tad more major update than the previous ones as it comes with a number of interesting improvements and enhancements in tow.

In particular, the newest software update improves the performance of the touch-based fingerprint scanner.

It also brings a new undisclosed feature to the built-in Photo editor. The general compatibility with accessories has also been improved.

Last, but not least, we have a further-improved interface of a few apps, like Email, S Planner, etc. The changelog doesn't list any other improvements, but we are somewhat certain that the usual performance and stability hotfixes have been included as well.

The update should hit your Galaxy S6/S6 edge over-the-air shortly, provided that you are eligible for getting it, mind you.
