None of the phones listed are rivals to the Galaxy S3 or Note 2 except maybe the HTC One but that isn't out yet so I'm just assuming HTC did enough to beat last year's best.

Sometimes we need to accept the reality. People may argue about iPhone/Lumia will rule the market in future, but everyone knows that Samsung Galaxy S 4 would emerge as clear winner in terms of specs, performance, price & sales. And the iPhone users also understand that S4 would wash out all the competition including iPhone5/5S and any future Lumia phones being launched till mid 2014.

I believe the competition is between Nokia Windows phone & iPhones because of their similar features, flexibility(rather rigidity) & performances. The features/flexibility offered in Android is far above both the platforms. I believe that Android & one other OS can co-exist with their separate markets (Juz like Nokia symbian & Blackberry existed in the past). In my opinion it would be Windows OS because its available in all price segments.

Lumia is not a rival to Android. And its not going to take its market share as well. The people now preferring Lumia windows phones are the people who were on symbian (or any other OS).
