This happened with the 4.1 update for the GS3, too. Calm down Samsung, take your time with updates, make sure they're near perfect before releasing them.

Omg HTC releasing the 4.3 already ?! Nope we got to do something about it.
But but our cartoony crappy bloated touch wiz requires months of preparation..
Let's just release it like that...did u see the value of our fanboys?! They ll defend every fart we make...should be fine...Will blame it on android..

Let's see..

When did the HTC One X got 4.3 update??

Let first HTC release 4.3 for One X (if you forget, the flagship they launched in 2012 when GS3 was launched).

The One X already had Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5. With the rate their pumping out updates for the One, I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped 4.3 on the One X and jumped to 4.4. I would rather them take their time in developing a good update than push out a quick one with terrible bugs.

I also had similar problems with the update on my one x to 4.2.2 with sense 5 like wifi loosing connectivity, battery drain, lag and noticeably worse standby time compared to 4.1. Let's just wait on what the manufacturers are going to do to push a minor update any time soon

Yes take longer than 3 months to release a minor update.
The fact that my gf's AT&T S3 is still on 4.1.1 is ridiculous.

Quit whining and buy unlocked international devices like people from the rest of the world if you genuinely care about updates. It's your own fault if you use a crap U.S carrier device that doesn't even get updates. Why did you even have to restrict yourself with a locked down device in the first place?

Even unlocked phones on Android do not get updates on time, it takes time to tune all the Apps correction (bloat) really pissed with Android, and google doing nothing to fix :(

The 4.1.2 update for the AT&T GS3 with Samsung's premium suite was released back in August. Yes, it's way later than the other carriers, but it's there.

No one said samsung was good at software, and if they do they have to get to an emergency room fast. This is what you get when you have Android, your fork of Android as Samsung does, and Tizen all being focused on at the same time. You shaft all three instead of perfecting one or even two. I'm pretty sure Samsung is on the down now because of over stretching their own resources to do too many things badly instead of a few things right.

Not 4.3's fault. Samsung are just notoriously bad at software. I don't see Nexus 4s or HTC Ones getting the same problem with their updates.

Yeah they cancelled their 4.2.2 update for the S3 and Note 2 due to problems with it and TW playing nice with each other. If the S3 is having problems with 4.3, I wouldn't be surprised if the Note 2 update is postponed until further notice.

Android has it's fair share of bugs, but you can't blame this on Android alone. Android's chance to have bugs massively increases when it's as customized as Samsung's Touchwiz.

As someone who's been using mostly stock Android 4.2.2, I can say I've only come across one bug, when I tried to take a picture out of a car (going about 40 mph), the focus ring just kept rotating back and forth rather than taking a picture. That might have been Motorola's problem though, seeing as though it's their camera software, and they might have fixed it in the latest update, I haven't tried it again since the update.

This is definitely Samsung's problem. They wanted to get the jump on the competition in terms of updates and released a half baked update with major problems.

Sounds like the ios7 rollout, thank goodness android roll outs are able to be reverted.

Sounds worse if it's bad enough for Samsung to pull the update.

Sounds more like Samsung is capable of admitting issues instead of blaming users.

Where did Apple blame the users for iOS 7? Oh yeah, no where.

You're confused, this comment should be in the article about iOS updates. Nice try though. I'll leave the suing to Apple, it seems it's all they are good at these days.
