Galaxy Note 5 in Gold Platinum officially makes its US debut, currently only available at T-mobile

When Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 5 earlier this year, it broke the hearts of roughly half of its Western world fans, when it announced that the smartphone will not be sold in Europe this year. Then, it started offering the phablet in the US in just 2 of the three announced colors. The full choice of finishes is White Pearl, Black Sapphire, and Gold Platinum, but, unfortunately, the gold one has been missing from the shelves of US retailers up until today.

T-Mobile has announced that it will be selling the Gold Platinum Note 5, starting today. It's the first of the major US carriers to do so, so if you've been struck by the gold fever – there's nowhere else to go at this moment (hint: yeah there is – try Amazon).

T-Mo will not be asking a pretty penny for the rather unique finish – the Note 5 will set you back $0 down and 24 payments of $29.17 ($699.99 full retail) per month for the 32 GB model, or $99.99 down and 24 payments of $28.34 per month ($779.99 full retail), regardless of the color. However, buying from the carrier's website or through its telesales, you can use the NOTE5DEAL promo code and get $50 off of your purchase. Spare money for some cool cases, no?
