0. phoneArena posted on 30 Nov 2012, 07:49

It's almost time for holidays and we're already in the mood for presents! And this time, thanks to our partners from Sprint, we're giving not one, but a total of three wonderful smartphones: the LG Optimus G, Motorola PHOTON Q and Samsung Galaxy Victory! Actually, this will be just this week. The next one we'll be doing a second giveaway, once again with a unit of each of these three models; and the week after that, we'll be giving away these three, plus an LG Mach, which means that for these three weeks, we'll be presenting you with a total of 10 devices! Talk about a great start of the holiday season...

For me it definitely is the ability to connect to the internet. I am a system Admin and the ability to have an application like connectbot which allows me to connect to the servers I admin remotely makes my phone an invaluable tool when I am away from my computer.

423. Godzgoon posted on 28 Nov 2012, 16:52

Quality of the camera.

424. Richiidroid posted on 28 Nov 2012, 17:09

I'd probably say the processor speed. I love speed.

426. burnik posted on 28 Nov 2012, 17:29

Definitely the display quality is the most important feature for me

427. iCandy posted on 28 Nov 2012, 17:49

Email, calendar and maps!

428. dchan149 posted on 28 Nov 2012, 17:54

Though great features are nice, many things are comparable, software, data speeds, and memory/ processor. I believe the most valueable feature in terms of practicality is the battery life. These phones now all have good and bad, so With that in mind, i think Battery life is most important because, hey, we all want to be able to get through the day with the ability to use our phones without worrying about havinig to charge or having your phone die!

429. filoman posted on 28 Nov 2012, 18:07

How smooth the operating system works. I really hate when a system freezes and stalls.

430. coinmanmat posted on 28 Nov 2012, 19:22

It might not necessarily be a feature but performance is key when I look at smartphones. I want a phone that would be powerful enough to handle the tasks I do with it.

431. Jr7188 posted on 28 Nov 2012, 19:48

The Sleek Design of the Optimus G this is the feature that is most valuable to me, Everything else this phone can do is a plus. Its not to big and it doesnt look like its going to be huge in the pocket. I would love it to replace my current phone for sure.

The large screen in phones like the Optimus G mkaes it easier to use. I like a bigger phone. Multitasking is great with these phones as well as the latest in andriod.

437. lembocoug posted on 28 Nov 2012, 21:06

Unlocked or unlockable bootloader.

438. brokenchains posted on 28 Nov 2012, 21:11

While I would love to say that speed or the camera top out the list (because these are important to me), I think that *the screen* and its quality is most valuable to me on my phone. I'll be using the thing all the time, after all, so it has to look good. Vivid, colorful, and big.

439. Cesar2828 posted on 28 Nov 2012, 21:11

Touchscreen :)

440. sdadolf posted on 28 Nov 2012, 21:28

For me, high speed and large RAM so I can communicate via large numbers of text messages.

441. elicora posted on 28 Nov 2012, 21:40

best touchscreen so that when you want to type "M" it will not type "N".

442. geeleste posted on 28 Nov 2012, 21:44

I want my smartphones to have great voice quality. With everything that smartphones are capable of sometimes that is forgotten.

443. tunali posted on 28 Nov 2012, 21:58

high speaker quality and easy music player.
when the phone ring or you started an app it should let you to resume your music

444. boosh310 posted on 28 Nov 2012, 22:42

True multitasking is number 1. Although that quad-core is pretty juicy.

445. Twisted247 posted on 28 Nov 2012, 22:57

Internet connection and the connectivity that comes with it.

446. cokm4n posted on 28 Nov 2012, 23:14

I would have to say that the snapdragon processor on the LG is the most important. It pretty much guarantees that even without official LG support, the phone will be able to support future aftermarket roms - extending the lifetime of the phone.

447. xy.george posted on 28 Nov 2012, 23:52

storage capacity, processing power, ram, screen size, software, extras, etc., etc., etc.

448. mnp188 posted on 29 Nov 2012, 01:12

Responsiveness is really basic

449. miguelito posted on 29 Nov 2012, 01:13

The ability to multitask is very important nowadys and the lg shows that has barely any competition in this field without mentioning the camera features...

450. mdhlk posted on 29 Nov 2012, 01:13

A good camera

451. hrs1282 posted on 29 Nov 2012, 01:16

Future proof-ness (so quad core plus 2gigs ram is what I'm eyeing)

455. kingaffiliation posted on 29 Nov 2012, 01:55

Multitasking is very important to me. If my phone can't multitask properly, I just feel like I'm back in the days of feature phones.

456. rvcruz050904 posted on 29 Nov 2012, 03:18

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT THE PHONE WORKS!!! I'VE HAD SEVERAL ANDROID PHONES WITH DIFFERENT SPECS AND THE PHONES WITH THE MODEST SPECS WITHOUT A BUNCH OF BLOATWARE WORKED THE BEST!!! The Optimus G seems to be that phone but with KILLER SPECS!!!

457. Dubskillz posted on 29 Nov 2012, 03:23

For me, I think I've had the most trouble with storage space on my phone, and though cloud based services are abundant now, I like having a heap of storage space on my phone so I would have to say.. uh... STORAGE space is most important to me! 64gb internal('specially if you're gonna lock up the battery{yeah, I'm talking to you HTC}), and a 64gb SD card. That'll do wonders!

458. al-khatti posted on 29 Nov 2012, 06:49

Speed! (connections and processing)

465. rayaray2124 posted on 29 Nov 2012, 13:07 1

I like how the LG Optimus G has a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, that means it will be super fast. I am a big user on the internet from my mobile device, speed is the most important thing I look for in a device. I would take a quad-core processor device any day over a dual-core.

466. Jerm0986 posted on 29 Nov 2012, 14:10

Most important thing for me in a smartphone is Processing power. CPU and RAM are key for multitasking and running demanding programs on my Smartphone.

467. avincent posted on 29 Nov 2012, 15:05

Being a professional photographer, I'd have to say the Lg Optimus G's 13mp camera will be hands down my most valuable feature.

Couple that feature with the stunning display, memory treasure chest, and the speed needed to edit and manipulate photos with various apps available; The LG Optimus G in its entirety is a valuable feature allowing me to showcase what kind of images can be achieved using only a smartphone!!

Being a past user of various smartphones ranging from the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, HTC one x, HTC evo LTE, Samsung s2 and s3, and a wide range of others, I've always found the most value in the quality of the camera, the speed in which the camera operates, and the ability to show off the picture I just took with a large HD display with more than 250ppi always stuns friends, family, and clients!!

Pure AOSP (Nexus) along with enough RAM to handle casual browsing and forum checking (1+GB).
