GIGA-BYTE has also left its mark at the Mobile World Congress by announcing its new Windows Mobile flagship smartphone, the GSmart S1200
. It will first launch with WM 6.1 OS, but later, users will be able to upgrade to 6.5, once the software upgrades are available. The S1200 will incorporate GIGA-BYTE’s own “Smart Zone” graphical user interface and will pack a 528MHz Qualcomm processor, 3.1-inch WVGA touchscreen and a 3-megapixel camera with autofocus. For additional connectivity, the handset will feature Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as a GPS receiver.
The GIGA-BYTE GSmart S1200 is said to become available in Q2 2009, however, at what price is still a question to be answered.
