In Australia, a less than $500 phone is considered quite cheap. Nexus 4 if you buy it in stores cost more than that (close to $500).

With the huge battery capacity of 4050mAh, i wonder why they're worried about pumping the resolution to 1080p.
Doesn't make sense unless the processor is power hungry.

I'm going to go out on a limb and state that from 2013 until about early 2015, we're going to experience really the last of the phones that struggle to make it through a day of heavy usage, so this reason not to give a 1080p screen due to battery concerns (despite a 4050 mAh behemoth) is no longer going to apply.
