Was it Elton John who sang, "Saturday night is alright for updates"? Here it is Saturday evening and instead of going out, those Verizon customers with the HTC Windows Phone 8X are concerning themselves with the GDR3 update, coming their way from Microsoft. According to the changelist, you'll be able to more easily make assisted calls while roaming in international locations...

Because Microsoft wants to keep the other OEMS interested and staying on the platform (even though im pretty sure HTC is forced to use WP). Also Nokia has its own version of the OS Nokia Black that has extra enhancements and features that nokia gives. These sorts of things make Nokia devices longer to update. Its kinda like Samsung updating their galaxy devices later than other devices without a skin (google play devices/nexus/etc,) -
TL;DR - Theres extra stuff that needs to be put into the Lumia Black update/MS wants to keep other OEMS on WP

HTC is forced to use wp? Source? That's the silliest thing I've heard

They get discounts to make wp hardware for their android tax.
Moto doesn't care cause they been screwed already with piss poor sales of windows hardware and ditched it all when going android.

Still no forward button? No volume profile for devices??
I've set my expectations low for WP8 already, but atleast they could have given those two features.
I wish some group files a class action suite against Microsoft.

Is that so? You should get on that troll
Only trolls on this site could make a fast gdr3 update a bad thing.

"Only trolls on this site could make a fast gdr3 update a bad thing."
No troll needed for that. It already seems to be bad, as it is.
