NFC has been one of the most talked about new technologies (new for mobile devices in the United States that is), even though it still hasn't seen adoption really take hold just yet. Google has been one of the biggest proponents, but now Barnes & Noble is jumping on too...

Increase print sales? I highly doubt that.

Why? It makes sense. Just like "piracy" increasing content sales. Digital is a way to get more information about a product, and to share those purchases with friends, which would lead to more sales even on the print side.
