Fujitsu-Siemens introduces Pocket LOOX T800 series

Fujitsu-Siemens has officially announced the long-awaited Pocket LOOX T series, based on Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The new LOOX series come in two versions - T810 and T830. The two tri-band GSM(900/1800/1900)/UMTS(2100) devices are packed with similar features. The only difference is that T830 is equipped with 2 mega pixels camera with video capture as well as a secondary VGA camera for video calling, whereas T810 is not. Both models sport:

  • 2.4-inch 65k color TFT touchscreen display
  • Full QWERTY keyboard
  • Bluetooth v2.0
  • SD/MMC memory expansion slot
  • Windows Media Player
  • Integrated SiRFIII GPS receiver
  • 416 MHz Intel processor
  • 128MB ROM and 64MB RAM
  • USB 1.1 support
  • Wi-Fi 802.11b/g with VoIP capability

Both T830 and T810 are expected to be available in July, 2006 at the estimated price of about ˆ700.
