Can't wait for them to announce a glass back panel and Siri. Is Samsung totally incapable of having an original thought? They sure are great at copying American designs though.

Sorry, Voice Talk came before Siri, except it wasn't that intelligent and only recognizes keywords, but nevertheless, the idea was implemented first.

and only Apple is dumb enough to come up with a design that is "OH! SO PRETTEH" but breaks and cracks when dropped from 2 feet...

Voice recognition has been tried for a long time, but Siri has made it more usable than before. Like MS tried to make tablets for 10 years, but were crushed by the iPad because tablets were not usable until the iPad.

Only Samsung would charge $700 for a cheap piece of plastic that cracks and gets crushed if you put it in your back pocket or put any weight on it.

BTW, I dropped by iPhone from 4 feet onto a stone floor with no damage - it called using a case. Fortunately with the iPhone there is a huge selection of great quality cases.

So why are you acting like everyone is copying Apple when Apple themselves stole an old idea and made it better? Samsung is doing the right thing by improving the iPhone for users like me, If it weren't for Samsung I'd be putting a 3.5 inch screened glass brick in my pocket and have to put up with iTunes for simple file transfers.

How heavy do you have to be to crush that hard plastic in your back pocket? Is your ass a sludge hammer? That's a really lousy excuse.

Like I said before, you're paying a few hundreds for a phone and you have to depend on a $10 case to keep it safe? That's sad...

Was Apple the first to have a white phone? Nope. The LG Rumor white was approved by the FCC July 2007, iphone 3GS June 2009. So as you can see 2007 came before 2009. Not saying that the Rumor was the first white phone, just it came before the white iphone.

Alright, you must be an apple fanatic. I'm not bashing them but their lawsuits make no sense. Every smartphone looks the same. You can't differentiate between any of them. The epic touch looks like the titan from the front and the back is nowhere close to the iphone. So yes, the international version might look a wee bit like the iphone, but that's nothing to break your head about. Apple's suing them because of the competition they're bringing to the table. And anyways, the iphone's copied quite some stuff from other phones. So don't bash companies when you haven't done s**t in the ways of contribution.

My only issue with this Galaxy S2 is I have had it about 2 weeks and I pulled it out of my pocket (it being so thin and slick) I dropped it straight face down and cracked the corner of my screen (also a week before I got my case because I ordered it) Insurance claim here I come! Sucks. I was hoping for a more durable screen but I guess not. That's what I get for telling iphone customers "Your first drop and this phone will break, buy a case" and it happened to me.

Probably just caught it at an unlucky angle. The S2 has been shown to be more durable than the iPhone.

Sorry about that insurance claim man. :(

Flat on its screen, onto a cold Starbucks tile. Damn you Starbucks!

Yikes, yeah, most screens are likely to break that way. The Nexus and Motorola phones usually do well though because of the glass they use.

Wrong. Everyone points to a drop test with no case. In the real world almost everyone has a case and most phones break from wear or sitting when in your back pocket. The iPhone is much more durable in normal use.

You have absolutely no evidence for your assertion that the iPhone is more durable in normal use.

lol, you're comparing Glass VS Plastic...If you bother to go to school you'd know thru common knowledge plastic already wins in the "durable" factor. That's one for the S2.

But since you guys would never admit it, someone did a drop test video. and the results were obvious. That's two for the S2.

Where's your arguement against both of those? Did Apple manage to twist your reality so much that glass is stronger than high quality plastic?

I observed a moment of silence for your phone, ZayZay. It never even had a chance to live...

Hope you have better luck with your next one. I am with Sniggly- I got a Samsung Focus S and was real hesitant to pull the trigger on it due to the plastic build until I started checking into actual performance ratings and saw how amazingly durable Samsung's actually were. The Epic is a fantastic phone and I bet it will serve you well and with no other problems.

Starbucks is evil. Pure and simple. Don't fall for all the "friend of the environment" stuff. That is how they fool you, the fake Halo covering up the Horns..... :-D

Again, I like variety. More color options are great, especially on a top shelf device like the Epic 2. But why always WHITE? Does no one else work in a job where there is actual dirt but me??? Is everyone else employed in a controlled computer environment or in a sterile lab? Geez, I would move this nice phone from white to grey and into sludge-like dingy within weeks.

Could someone please come out with a high end toy in the color scheme of sludge-like dingy??? I am so there if you do.

Looks like more black phones and cases for da poor, abused, unloved Gator......

I think it'd be awesome if they brought back color variety like they used to have, like orange, green, blue, etc. It can get boring looking at phones that are all black or gray.

With you there again, Snigs. Some variety is needed in something as large as the Mobile market. I know some dark colors would appeal to me. Cars, appliances, and everything else comes in different colors, why not mobile phones that are selling in the billions every year?
