Given that Microsoft is holding the launch party for Windows Phone 8 on October 29, that would mean the French are certain they'll have Lumia 920s in stock a day or two after, so here's to hoping...

Yes they do. Some sources says the HTC 8x will be available on November 1st. Nokia can't let HTC launch first. Mid-November is too late, it has to be during the first week

Calculate the functions and features 920 is offering, for that I don't think it is expensive. And if those functions are useless for you than obviously that handset is not for you.
And if you still want those functions and don't want to pay the price of innovation, you have no respect of the cost of real innovation and you don't deserve such a piece.

Yeah .. The innovations deserve higher prices .. But for me to shift from Android(i mean leaving many of the important features of Android) to Windows they have to set competitive prices less than android or at the level of Android flagships ..

Those are European prices! They tend to be more expensive compared to U.S. prices of the same devices.

I can wait too, but i doubt there'll be a good amount of price slash by February...i think it will take atleast 6 months.

Isnt that a dual core phone for Sony? Looks great but being dual core its already behind and not even out yet
14. aquadust (Posts: 18; Member since: 13 Sep 2012)
99% of people do not need quadcore. and especially in WP8. that system is incredibly fluid, perhpas you can compare it to iOS. and dual core Krait 1.5ghz? it is sometimes faster than quadcores. HW specs are very nice for lumia 920, and you can as a bonus: pureview campera, OIS, incredible low light photo capabilities (iso 800 better than majority of compact cameras, I would compare it to lumix LX5!), polycarbonate unibody, ultimate sensitive touch screen made with cooperation of Synaptics that you can operate with anything you can imagine, wireless charging, NFC... those are features that even iphone5 does not carry! so I would say lumia 920 is pretty spectacular piece of technology, I would say those features are worth 650eur... iphone5 is around 800 (32GB)... yes it is a bit bulky and heavy, but actual reports from hands on reviews is that the phone feels very light in hand. 180g isn't that much for 4.5" and polycarbonate unibody with mechanical IS unit.

The price factor will be the key to Nokia's success Nokia's New 2012 smart phone
models are interesting let's list them = all are Lumia models, 920-810-820-822.
if you count the Lumia 510 and 610 which are going to be Windows low cost smart
phones running Windows 7.8 which will keep current Windows smart phone from going Obsolete because it appears Nokia will make low cost Windows smart phones using the Windows 7,8 OS thus keeping this OS alive. that means Nokia has produced 6 windows smart phones this year. wowo if Microsoft wants a "Surface" smart phone all thy have to do is have Nokia design them and make them an resell them to Microsoft to sell at their Microsoft stores and online
