There are a lot of fights to be had in the mobile space. Given the opportunity (regardless of how slight the instigation may be) people will fight over what mobile platform is the best, which philosophy of mobile is best...

Yeah and Apple copied the design from LG prada when they made the iphone 4 so what's your point Taco. All companies copy each other. Don't think that apple doesn't copy because they do.

What's was unique about Apple's iPhone 4 design has certainly lost that status after 1 year when they released 4S, but people did not mind.
What is unique in Galaxy S and SII and they were sold in tens of millions?
Would you buy a car or a house or a fridge because of their unique look?
I think what most users look for in a phone is stylish look and feel (not something revolutionary), beautiful screen is a must, smooth operation, high quality sound and pictures and video...
So HTC will bounce back with their One line because they are on the right track. They released their new line earlier than SS and all other competitors so I'm pretty confident that HTC will compete on level term with SS and Apple and they will be the big 3 in the mobile marketplace.

Again the reason why htc kept their design is because it doesn't need to be change. It is made such that users would know it is a htc phone as soon as they sees it just like an iphone. Plus don't u think it is more comfortable to hold a htc phone as compared to the boxy iphone?
