Ford set to showcase MyFord Mobile app at CES
A few months has passed since Ford opened up pre-orders for its upcoming electric Focus release. Next week at CES, Ford is scheduled to demo the companion for the electric Focus, the new MyFord Mobile app.

The app will allow Focus Electric owners to monitor battery life, estimate driving distance on the current charge, search for nearby locations, optimize charging times, monitor their impact on the environment, and even share their stats via social media outlets.

"The MyFord Mobile app and the Focus Electric work together to coach drivers to be more efficient and maximize the benefits of the electric vehicle experience," said Kelly Zechel, MyFord Mobile product manager. "We wanted to help drivers get more miles out of every charge and have some fun along the way."

Until the presentation happens, check out the video below for a peek into some of the features you can expect to see in action next week.

Now if only they could make an app to control your car like James Bond did in "Tomorrow Never Dies". That would be awesome...not to mention if the car also had missile launchers...

Yes because we need psychos with road rage to have missile launchers lol

Ah that is where counter measures would come in handy. Better make sure you pay the extra cash for that option ;).
