For the new trial, Judge Koh orders Samsung and Apple to narrow their claims
0. phoneArena posted on 22 Feb 2013, 00:16
Just as she did in the first patent infringement trial between Samsung and Apple last year, Judge Lucy Koh is ordering both firms to lower the number of claims that each side is presenting for the trial which doesn't start until 2014; for next year's suit, Koh is limiting Samsung and Apple to 25 patent infringement claims on no more than 25 products each...

Apple has achieved absolutely nothing in this whole suing business!! Yeah thats a business for them, an alternate source of income, their non-core business.
Last year they had Galaxy s3 and Note 2 to deal with......this year they will have to handle HTC One, Xperia Z, Galaxy S4 and then Note 2 and 3.
So how do they plan to handle these? In courtroom? I would suggest that they concentrate on their core business, they are not doing that....they are now making pathetic revamps of once glorious phone!!

US will finally realise you can't have a protectionism in a capitalism nation. US is the most advance nation due to capitalism NOT protectionism.

Really? US put a duty of 260%+ on Indian steel and is taking India to WTO for being anti US for Solar panels ...

Well, that explain why apple feels that its their god damn right to sue every body.
Let see how a great company/nation would continue to do well by sueing others.

OH! let it rest already, nobody is interested anymore, we had enough!, they can kill themselves if they like as long as they don't ban our devices or restrict consumers choice

I suspect that if the Court of Appeals rules against Apple (which is a 50-50 prospect; maybe even 60-40 against Apple), it is all over. No sales ban is a hint to which way the Court is leaning....

Less patents to bring up also, many were invalidated. Apple should just drop it and let it go, all the previous trial did was bring massive PR to Samsung and make more people despise Apple. The phones in question aren't even relevant anymore, and Apple doesn't need the money, they have more than enough.

That's right...narrow it down some as the judge wants to be home by lunch that day.

It still baffles me how the hell they were granted a color patent.

Instead of a delay on the second trial why not just put a stop to this never ending court battle. This has seriously gone far enough...

The lawsuits are doing nothing but make Samsung more popular.. completely opposite of what apple wanted. I know people who bought gs3's just because of all this drama. Heard about the lawsuit and phone on CNN goggled it an go "oh wow screw the iphone"
