When you think of mobile streaming, you probably think of Pandora, iTunes Radio or Spotify. That is understandable...

how about Audio Addicts Digitally Imported or DI.FM for all ur electronic music genre needs?
or Rock Radio by the same people, that delivers practically every single rock genre in existence? they even have something called Sky Radio, for more of a traditional listening experience with a collection of genres ranging from adult contemporary, to classical, to reggae.

another radio streaming service that shoulda been mentioned is Fit Radio, where they stream DJ mixes by various DJs, mixing in select genres from EDM, to Rock, Rap, top 40, with multiple DJ mixes and a favorites system to keep track of ur favorite mixes.

PA, PLEEEEEEESEEEE do better articles, kuz EVERYBODY n their mom knows about Slacker radio (including mine, she uses a kindle), sound cloud, and Shazam......there was Only one app, Songza, that i didnt know about, n will be trying out. Red Bull Music Academy Radio SEEMS promising, because of live streams from clubs, but we shat see if it qualifies as a music streaming app, like the Articles TITLE says.
SoundTracking.......i dont think that counts....... i mean was it really that hard to Find new Good streaming apps for us to try out?? come on, VEVO???? we get that on you tube!!! and self admittedly in the authors description of the app, says its NOT a streaming music app!!!! so come on PA, a little editorial oversight would be WELCOME when it comes to misleading articles.

Suit yourself, I never heard of any of these except for Slacker and Songza. Besides, he said Slacker and Shazam were "standbys"...whatever...

so u never tried to Song ID a song u didnt know who the artist was??
really? u know theres a bunch of apps that do that. do u even use ur smart phone?
and by "standby," u mean to say 3 of the 7 apps that might be actually "off the beaten path." thats obviously less than 50%....... which is unacceptable. its honestly 2 of 7 because SoundTracking is a Social app, not a music streaming one.
so again i say, do u even use ur smart phone?
i personally am not a hard core user thats rooted n all that, buuut am a data hog w/ an unlimited plan, so i guess im a power user. but even then i wouldnt know every music app under the sun, so i was hoping to get some tips from the article. i found jus ONE app to try of all them listed......im sure there were more "off the beaten path" to try that wernt included

Well reading the article they all appear to be available for ios android and wp. So maybe that was the challenge. I use my phone obviously different from however you use yours. I got more out of it than you. I guess they can't please everyone.

mabey, im not gona fact-check ur statement.
please everyone? this is a phone nerd site for crying out loud. but they can do better by not being lazy n only post 2 actual "off the beaten path" music apps. the editor needs to watch for slop like this, n the author needs to give 2 sharts about not putting out crap like this one steaming pile of poop.

btw, since i did their job for them lol, did u have a chance to check out the TRUE STREAMING apps i mentioned??

SoundHound > Shazam. It's more accurate and usually gets the song info within four seconds.

Songza has got to be my favorite of the bunch. Found a playlist and downloaded over 40 songs that day. :)

Yeah, gotta agree with that. Soundhound is the superior track id app at least at the moment.
