Moto should come up with something like a phablet with 4000mAh battery. :p With kevlar back and everything. That would be a killer. (all in under 9mm) :p

OMAP5 processor, 1-1.5 gigs of RAM (maybe 2, unlikely), 4.5-4.7 inch 720p screen, Kevlar back, 3,500 mAh battery. New Moto super-phone? Or maybe that's just the Nexus, and they will make a sort of Razr version so they can have their UI on it. And most carriers would get a version of it. AT&T's Atrix 3, Sprint's Photon 2, Verizon's Razr 2. That would be an amazing move made by Moto.

And now that they have Google as their mama, I can see them becoming a major force in the droid world in the near future.

I hope this is true. What would be even better is if all 5 were available on all the big 4 carriers at once! And if a couple were 5.3", because I'm getting the feeling VZW won't be getting the Note. ;(

i had to thumb you down.

i hope NONE of them are on carriers. Direct from the play store only. F- the carriers. Galaxy nexus, 600 through a carrier or 400 through the play store, and you know its gonna get instant updates through the play store and not be filled with crap.. which would you choose?

Show me a nexus with an exynos A15, 720p superamoled + screen LESS than 5 inches, removable battery and SD card, and at least 1.5gb ram, tmo frequencies, and you have my money.

I have 4 lines with 2 parents using g phones that they never want to change, so I usually have two upgrades available at any given time. And I have our based phones both full retail and on contract on discount sites. So it doesn't matter to me how I buy the phone. But that's not what I was talking about.

I just would like to see all five available to use on every carrier. No exclusivity, or at least do it how VZW and Sprint did with the Galaxy Nexus. One phone exclusive to each carrier for a couple months...then the remain king four after that.

Fine, they can offer them both ways, but I want unlocked direct darn it! lol. The VZW experiment showed that they are willing to monkey with even a Nexus device. Honestly, I really feel that they shouldnt be able to call it a nexus unless they allow direct updates through Google like a regular nexus. It muddies the name and the intent of the brand.

Agreed. And free hotspots too. After all, isn't that part of what makes a nexus...a Nexus!?

Can we add a 8MP-12MP BSI cam with high quality lens there? I like taking pictures and vids. :p

google is really speeding up and want to be dominant forever in mobile phone industry as like Microsoft is in desktop.after few years laptops are going to be dethroned by tablets.mobile phone industry is the biggest competition in terms of revenue as compared to desktop.
android should make their os fastest and butter smooth more than wp,unlock bootloader, decrease their hardware hunger, introduce exotic innovations to be dominant forever.

I kind of prefer there to be just one.. I don't know. That's what makes the Nexus exclusive, like the android version of the iPhone. Even though I do wish my nexus looked more like a premium handset :\

I'd like to see that and I'd like for them to all be on all the big carriers like Whateverman said.

I mean, I'll get whatever one I'm stuck with on verizon if thats the case, but if i had choice...

I think it's more likely that motorola and samsung would release more than one but I guess the report says 5 companies...I just don't see google letting lg & sony produce nexus devices, their phones have been pretty crap so far.

Motorola DROID Nexus and Sony Xperia Nexus! Idk what to call the Samsung version since we already have the Galaxy Nexus. I have no clue when it comes to LG and possibly the Evo or One Nexus for HTC?

Why, the HTC Nexus One, of course! ...oh, wait...

Also, the DROID label is Verizon specific, not Motorola. It's why HTC and Samsung can get away with things like Droid Incredible and Droid Charge. I think Moto would go with the Nexus Razr, as the Razr is the iconic Motorola phone (from the last 10 years or so).

Well I do know DROID is a Verizon label not Motorola, but if you think about it Motorola's flagship devices have all been DROIDs. And when DROID comes to mind the first manufacturer to pop into most people’s heads is Motorola. Though I do like your RAZR idea.

i'm not sure if i'd really like the Droid or Razr monikers in the name of Motorola's Nexus. Droid kind of equals too much Verizon control for a Nexus so i think they're well enough separate and besides i hope that all of the carriers get equal dibs on all of the Nexus models and as for the Razr idea, i feel like Motorola needs to stop the Razr refreshes with a RAZR MAXX HD and maybe a Razr 2 because if not it'll become just like the original Razr and the market will become over-saturated with Razrs. there can be too much of a good thing in this case.

Motorola goes to Verizon, Sony goes to AT&T, Samsung goes to T-Mobile and HTC goes to Sprint and LG to the smaller carriers.
