Stop teasing and show us the damn device already! All we get this month from Nokia is a crappy improvement which is the Lumia 925.
3. Credo (Posts: 693; Member since: 19 Apr 2012)
I agree, nothing special about the Lumia 925....
I still love my Cyan Lumia 920 more ....
16. pookiewood (Posts: 582; Member since: 05 Mar 2012)
I think it's a shame Nokia didn't get colorful with the 928 and 925.
28. jsdechavez (Posts: 702; Member since: 20 Jul 2012)
THe execs and Blackberry switchers will very much find much to like in the black/grey/white Lumia 925/928.

5. akki20892 (Posts: 3440; Member since: 04 Feb 2013)
r u sure bro, in hardware wise nokia did not improve much (only screen, camera and speaker). but u have to agree with body (light weight, and slim). we know it's a variety of NL920 so it's going to same.
one point is here that WP restrict Nokia to improve in hardware :(
62. Ethan99 (Posts: 1; Member since: 20 May 2013)
So, You guys say WP restricts the hardware capabilities ; and do you know why??? Microsoft Windows Phone team has their reasons_ # FACT is to extend battery life and to optimize the handsets to achieve high efficiency(you don't need 600 HP to run a car) and of course _ to allow easy development of apps(WVGA_720p_WXGA) _ it was the critical time of WP and NOKIA and they had to do some things within limits. Just my opinion :) Now everything's became a lot better & WPhones are ready to step up to the next level!

Only by the end of summer. The OS has to be changed in order to accept the high pixel count.
The 925 is an improvement something we already know from previous Nokia models, the main benefit is being much lighter and a slightly improved camera. The number of WP devices available has to increase to add more visibility to the OS. As Samsung floods the market with similar devices, the same has to happen with Nokia. That's the way the marked works these days.

If they are delaying it for sale in holiday season, then they should atleast upgrade the screen to FullHD resolution, and processor should be atleast quadcore, because it will require more processing power than the other WP8 phones, due to it's high resolution camera......... I hope GDR3 update is ready before the launch of this phone.......
7. N-fanboy (Posts: 538; Member since: 12 Jan 2013)
1080+41mp+3000mah+quadcore(i know it won't make much difference but let it be)+2GHZ=10M+ Sales
9. PhansMuneeb (Posts: 347; Member since: 28 Jan 2012)
1080p+s800 cpu+2500mah+41mp (or atleast 20mp) and I'm in.
I know Windows phone does not require quad core or 1080p but what's the problem in implementing it....c'mon we want Nokia back
11. TROLL (banned) (Posts: 4851; Member since: 13 Apr 2012)
Would love that, but that's not possible for now!
19. PhansMuneeb (Posts: 347; Member since: 28 Jan 2012)
Microsoft is not fully pushing Windows phones. ..
they really need to speed up the development and add more features unique to the platform....
25. akki20892 (Posts: 3440; Member since: 04 Feb 2013)
i still not get it that why Microsoft make fully features WP OS like windows xp, 7 and 8. Hurry up MS u need to put really quick common features in your WP, u know it's not hard.
30. TheCynicalTechie (Posts: 70; Member since: 19 Nov 2012)
The answer is simple, because Windows Phone 8 is a bridge. They are extending the bridge and will eventually make Windows Phone and Windows the same OS. Perhaps they may do the same with the Xbox as well.

There are a number of improvements that needs to be done in Windows Phone OS for Nokia to fully show its potential as a superior phone maker.
Nokia has a lot to deliver bas is being stopped by some flaws in the OS. GDR2 will cover some spots but not all, we need to wait for unified windows experience.
50. freebee269 (Posts: 521; Member since: 10 Aug 2012)
I hope wp8 brings out 1080p support and ups the cpu to a snap Dragon 600 for the Christmas season this year. And I would like to see the eos be one of the first phones to do this bump in hardware.
8. kimothis (Posts: 2; Member since: 17 May 2013)
first I bough Nokia lumia 800. the first Nokia windows phone. After that so many lumia came, but I am only waiting for this EOS lumia device with 808 like camera. and will wait till this year end.
54. mrdoubleb (Posts: 19; Member since: 06 Sep 2012)
Same shoes, man, same shoes! Holding on to my 800, been waiting for EOS ever since the 808 was announced. I love the 920's design, so if this is true, I'm in!
10. -box- (Posts: 3789; Member since: 04 Jan 2012)
Well crud. I was all set to get a 925 (T-Mo US user), but now I might wait for this beastie.
23. rsiders (Posts: 251; Member since: 17 Nov 2011)
I hope you're on AT&T or else you may be forced to wait on the sidelines. Here's to hoping Nokia gets it right this time but with the recent releases of the 928 and the upcoming 925, I'm not expecting much if you're not with them.
12. TheBitterTruth (unregistered)
Bring it on!
22. rsiders (Posts: 251; Member since: 17 Nov 2011)
Dear Nokia it won't matter if the device is once again stuck on AT&T while the rest of us have to wait 6 months before we can unlock it or get a similar device on our carrier. Thanks. Sounds like a winner though especially now that Windows Phone now has a fully functional third party Instagram client Itsdagram.
26. Shubham412302 (Posts: 298; Member since: 09 Nov 2011)
hope its snapdragon 800 for 4k video recording
42. darac (Posts: 2156; Member since: 17 Oct 2011)
WP doesn't even support quad core processors.
Best you can hope for as a dual core old Krait with Adreno 320 GPU
55. Nathan_ingx (Posts: 3011; Member since: 07 Mar 2012)
You're wrong Darac!
WP8 supports quad-core processor.
Just 1080p resolution that's lacking 'at the moment'.

I want to see a bump in specs or I'm not jumping which would upset me. I want to love it but just not the same phone again with a better camera.. Not that there is anything wrong with it just not what I expect
29. deburocks (Posts: 126; Member since: 20 Apr 2013)
really hope its atleast like 920 ( max thickness ) aluminium body like n8 or may b lumia 925. Even n8,s 12 mp camera will also do along vid ois and phase 2 pureview(lumia, 925, lumia 920). Otherwise vud luv a pureview phase one camera insyd a windows 8 with again max thickness like 920( lil camera bump is acceptable)... And nokia,s own camera custom camera app for the eos.....eagerly waiting( please nokia dont delay cos now everywhere i see and hear samd@@g , they are spending double the money in fake advt that u spent in last 8-10 years in ur r &d labs..and u cant help anybdy even if a stinky dung is slapped in consumers face( they will definatly start eating it fr sure) , thats the power of advt and marketing.......cheeers
31. DontHateOnS60 (Posts: 851; Member since: 20 Apr 2009)
Well thank you anonymous for ruining any hope I had of the wonderful 808 becoming a Lumia device. If true, this pretty much seals it that not only will this NOT have the massive 808 sensor, it doesn't look like it will have anything even close.
There's no way you're fitting anything decent, even 20 something MP's into a phone "as thick as the 920". Maybe it's the N8 sensor reworked. Either way, my hopes were high for something as amazing as the 808. It looks like yet again we won't be seeing any microSD card slot here either...
32. loganryan (Posts: 8; Member since: 08 Jan 2013)
Its really remarkable what nokia did in terms of camera in smartphones. True innovation
36. darac (Posts: 2156; Member since: 17 Oct 2011)
MUCH LIGHTER than 920?
Well, that one will I have to see to believe ..if it indeed turns out to be true, and the camera turns out half as good as on 808, Nokia could finally hit it big
47. DontHateOnS60 (Posts: 851; Member since: 20 Apr 2009)
Nokia could hit it big if they simply took the 808 and blew it up so it had a 4.5" display and everything else it already has, minus Symbian of course. I have to wonder though... now that there's this talk about Sony going for the gold in the camera department, and this rumor shedding light on what seems to be falling well short of expectations, is Nokia losing it?
52. darac (Posts: 2156; Member since: 17 Oct 2011)
Well, if Sony doesn't mess up the camera algorithms (like they always did so far) and actually makes that 20mp deliver on the promise, the rest of specs sound overwhelmingly in their favor.
I think Nokia could get hurt really bad if they don't offer something special and up to date.
I mean look at the success of the good but not great Xperia Z, with 4.6million sales within 40 days. That is huge, and shows how strong recognition Sony still has..if they finally bring truly great phone, massive sales are guaranteed.
37. dexter_jdr (Posts: 1139; Member since: 28 Jun 2012)
my body is ready! i hope its snapdragon 600 instead of snapdragon s4 plus . for a boost in performance
40. darac (Posts: 2156; Member since: 17 Oct 2011)
It most certainly isn't snapdragon 600..WP does not support quad core chips!
44. UrbanPhantom (Posts: 949; Member since: 30 Oct 2012)
Actually, Windows Phone V.8 supports multi-core CPUs of up to 64 cores (believe it or not), and by the time the Lumia EOS is released, WP8.x will likely support 1080P as well.
48. TROLL (banned) (Posts: 4851; Member since: 13 Apr 2012)
But you users and fans are not concerned about the specs that the S4, Htc One, Lg, Sony offers to ba vailable on Nokia Wp8, so why complain?
You lot don't need those specs....?
49. dexter_jdr (Posts: 1139; Member since: 28 Jun 2012)
use those specs for what? this is WP you are talking about not android.
if its still dualcore S4 then its ok. if its quadcore 600/800 then good. unlike android that you need more processing power.
51. darac (Posts: 2156; Member since: 17 Oct 2011)
No IT DOES NOT support.
Do you realize how crazy that claim is?
W8 supports up to 64 cores, not WP8!
They only share same basic kernel, but the overall difference is massive
56. Nathan_ingx (Posts: 3011; Member since: 07 Mar 2012)
"Windows Phone 8 can support quad and even octa-core CPUs, which we’re sure we’ll see in 2013 and beyond"
Make sure you check the hardware portion out.
59. UrbanPhantom (Posts: 949; Member since: 30 Oct 2012)
Windows Phone NT kernal does support up to 64 cores, but the OS itself needs updated drivers by Microsoft in order for this to happen. However, that won't be too far off, and I expect to see support for 1080P soon as well...

Some think nokia wont show eos at september event?
We will see

This would make sense IF the device has a smaller sensor than the 808. Consider a "smaller" 22~26 MP shooter that is small enough to allow the full module OIS tech from the 920/925/928 to be applied. Also, a Xenon Flash about the size of the N8's, coupled with an LED for video and torch. Said device would still allow lossless zoom (though less than the 808's capability) AND would still manage 4~5 x oversampling for 5MP shots. With a wider (and potentially adjustable) aperature, it would be excellent as well for night time shooting (w/OIS). Overall, the module could still be made smaller than that found on the 808, given the smaller dimensions of the sensor. The lower oversampling requirements would also allow Nokia to fast-track EOS without waiting for a more powerful SoC. Recall, the 808 was able to process 16x more than 2012 smartphones because its OS allowed Nokia to leverage a hi end GPU AND a camera dedicated scaling chip (doing 1 Bio. pixels per second).
IMO, that would be a killer cmaera spec for today's smartphone.
