First-tier operators in China reluctant to push Windows Phone Tango, IDC still estimates 7.5% penetration

Despite the reluctance of first-tier channel operators in China to push Windows Phone Tango devices like the Nokia Lumia 610, IDC still estimates 7.5% market penetration this year, and 15% in 2013.
Operators say Chinese users are more familiar with the Android ecosystem, when it comes to affordable phones, and they can also push value-added services to plump margins along with Google's mobile OS.
Still, Microsoft is working hard to remedy the appeal of Windows Phone in China, and has signed up more than 6, 000 local app developers for the mobile OS, who have already created 2, 000 localized Chinese-language apps.

I think Microsoft stil has a hill to climb but soon enough the tabels will turn in their favor for a great looking OS.

The launch of Windows 8 will help spreading the good word about Windows Phone, since they together will be a preeetty sharp duo :-) Add the XBOX Live synchronization to that and you'll be all set ;-)
