O joy! Note 4 is coming already? I'd better be looking forward for that one instead. :P
You sound silly you know that?
1020 launches and you say Note 3 will dump it, now this Nokia phablet screen pops and you refer it to Note 4.
Observe your comments man.

What about screen resolution? If they have already started producing these phones, then Full HD doesn't look likely as Windows will start supporting Full HD only next year. Really appreciate Nokia how they keep pushing phone after phone. Only wish that the lazy Microsoft would keep up.

of course it will sport 1080p, putting in 720p is a no brainer because others are doing 1080p for this size.

I thought the new Droids would have 1080p but we were fooled. But at 6" 720p would be a big mistake.

if it is a high end product, it should sport 1080p. That simple. I dont see Nokia making something like the Galaxy Mega 6.3. A budget/mid range 5'-5.5' with 720p is likely sometime next year (to succeed the 625) but definitely not now.

The problem is this isn't Nokia's choice. Windows Phone 8 doesn't support 1080p yet and, no matter what Nokia SHOULD do, they can't do it until MS updates its software.

And by year end it will support 1080p, GDR3 is supposed to ship with these devices. 8.1 wil come in Q1 2014. Meanwhile, current WP8 devices will get GDR3 update shortly after the launch of the new flagships.

I don't expect Nokia to come out with 1080p. Maybe slightly beyong maybe 2000p or more. Even better if it packs with Ultra Full HD. I realised that there are quite number of holes on top of the phone. One for light sensor one for camera and I bet another one is for notification

this phone will surely sport a 1080p. Microsoft and Nokia not rolling out GDR3 doesnt mean that it's not yet finished. I believe there's a few tweaks that needs to be done but IMO the monster update is just waiting to be taken out fresh from the oven.

So, Nokia could do slim bezels, but they chose not to for some unknown reasons... but, thicker bezels means more durability when you drop your phone and it lands on the side, i dont really mind them.

No idea why large phones are still being called phablets. "Phablet" sounds like a tablet with a phallus to me.

The difference between tablets, phones, and "phablets" is that, at least in Samsung's implementation, phablets utilize additional productivity features that use a stylus, which may or may not be found in full-sized tablets. I agree the name is kind of stupid though.

Nowadays people call anything above 5 inch as a phablet, whether they have stylus input or not. The Galaxy Megas are the best examples. Im not that familiar with LG's products but they have 5.5' phones with no stylus input as well. For Samsung, only those with the "note" name has stylus input.

That's the reason Samsung has had by far the most success with their Notes. Any company can make an over-sized phone and call it a phablet, but if it lacks features to differentiate it from conventionally-sized phones, it becomes nothing more than a bulky, over-sized phone. Samsung actually differentiated the Note series from the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Tab series, and it's come to fill an important role for the company. As far as I'm concerned, the "phablet" I'd even consider (of all those currently released) would be a Note II. Everything else either seems like an unnaturally large phone, or an unnaturally small tablet.

I fail to see hwo phones with thicker bezels are more durable. The glass screen still goes to the edge of the phone, regardless of bezel size.

I suppose one could argue that there may be more underlying structure behind the large bezel.. but if you drop your phone, the edge to edge screen is still very vulnerable.

Sometimes, screens crack not because of direct glass to surface contact (the moment it lands on the ground after you drop it), but the side bezel dents, which twists the glass and the glass cracks. That is what happened to many of my friend's newer phones which have thin bezels. The bezel dented and from the side you can see teh glass being twisted. The side of the phone dented in many cases. For me, i have dropped some of my phone countless times, some even land with screen facing down, and they never crack.

Maybe it's just a tiny hand holding the screen, idk. But that thing looks as big as a Nexus 7.

Orange for me, I'd prefer n8 type anodized metal over the polycarbonate of 920.

Love the slim bezel on this phone, assuming it's the final design. There has to be tech out there that can allow for a very slim bezel and avoid unintentional touches to the screen.
