This phone does look nice, dont get me wrong. Personally, I have never like the iphone at all. It has always been the ugliest touch device I have seen, and you cant do anything with it. I have the HTC Touch if that tells you anything, it is amazing and you can change every aspect of the phone. On the other hand, this phone looks really nice as well, but I have a feeling it is going feel cheap and made purely out of plastic. The LG Dare is the exact same phone as the LG VU, and that is nice but feels very cheap and not good at all... Sorry, I love the way the VU looks, but it feels like a toy.

actually it seems the only thing the vu and dare have in common is the name and they are both touch screens. If you read around people that have tested it say it is built very good, not cheaply. so before making any comments about how the phone is built you better wait til it comes out to judge that aspect. plus the iphone and htc touch are both smartphones, so i hope you could have a little more customization on them, but hopefully the dare won't be limited to the usual verizon crap.

the phone will have a 3.5mm jack, and as far as the interface goes, its still a pressure sensitive screen like the voyager, only not as cheap...if that makes any sense.

There's no such thing as a "glass or plastic interface". It is the SCREEN that would be glass or plastic. The Dare's screen is plastic, but higher quality than the Voyager.

Go try the LG Vu at At&t - that is how the screen should feel - very slick.

Why would anyone want glass as it can break easier than plastic

Glass screens are "capacitive" and hence, usually more responsive.

Except in the case of the Glyde, which is an absolute disaster.

The i-phone is cool but i think the dare will be so much better. Not only the phone who wants to pay 800 for a phone that you have to send away if it breaks and cant get insurance on it. ATT really f'd up there. To bad for all the suckers that buy and loose it or have it stolen. Verizon will offer the insurance and instore technicians. 50 dollar deductable come on why complain.

It's cool if you don't mind it catching your bag on fire because the battery is too hot.

Actually as much as i want to agree with you, Apple has update the firmware for both the I phone and their Ipods.....the firmware allows the devices to not hold a charge and refuse a charge, only if reported stolen

I've been looking forward to this phone for a while now! I get a new phone in august, and I'm DYING to trade in my enV after 2 years of abuse. Does anyone have any idea [even a guess] at how much the phone will cost though? =/ That'll probably be the main concern with me

3.55 mm jack, user interface screen will be the same material as the voyager, I have it right now and it blows away the WANNA BE PRADE that att calls an Iphone...it is lighter , thinner, sexier and better with touch.....and I can get insurance and a year warranty with it...it will be able to sync to outlook for email, calendar and appointments , so yes it is a PDA/smartphone....the camera is SEXY and the phone will be great.....until the Blackberry Thunder comes out.. sorry ATT, your day in the sun is over....Verizon now has the most subscribers, the best network and the best phone selection.

Wait, so is it a smatphone? Wouldn't they sell it to the regular crowd so it competes with the iPhone, and Vu? Also, does this have MobileTV and a full HTML browser?
