The photos are nothing spectacular (too much noise) but for $180 what do you expect? When it becomes available I'll pick one up. Can't go wrong with a Google owned company in terms of updates and I'm sure they'll be lots of xda-developer support for this phone too.

Yup I just got one yesterday. The camera samples are not at all good and you need a very steady hand to take them being said that is the only downside this phone has ! The display is gorgeous almost as good as iPhone 5 (my sister's phone).

Rest of the software just feels like a Nexus device and is buttery smooth. This phone is worth every penny especially when u stack up against HTC one Mini or GS4 mini which are twice the price and most likely wouldn't get Kitkat

I'm planning on picking one up in January as soon as the unlocked version is sold by Motorola. Now really the biggest question... Which camera is better a Moto Q or a Nexus 4? I'm leaning towards buying the Moto Q even if the Nexus 4s specs are a little higher.

In all honesty It might be something about showing support for an American company trying to break down price barriers. I might be making a statement with my purchase...

White balance and saturation is actually good for the price range it's in. It's leaning towards neutral which I definitely prefer.

They're okay.
Good from a distance, noisy on closer inspection.

They dont look to bad again for the range. What I wish is that they wouldnt have made the device quite so bulky anthing above 10mm range is a bit thick these days.. & also of course Lte is missing although im sure HSPA+ will suffice. I dont think its better overall though then current LG optimus F6 im using which is also low price at least here in the US as most LG mid rangers are. Abeilt this is a bit cheaper even

Good photos for this $179 phone. Quad core, HD display, 1 GB of RAM, 2070 mAh. It certainly blows Lumia 520 (and the upcoming 525) out of the water.
The disadvantages are the lack of microsd slot and front facing camera.
And who cares about front facing camera? as if everybody uses it everyday.
I hope this phone comes to my country.

The photos are decent. They are not going to stand up to the flagship phones, but for the price of the phone, there is no phone I've seen in that price range that can compare to this, this is comparable to mid range devices camera wise. These pictures seem like they will be fine for stuff like Facebook or Instagram, and that's all most people use their phone cameras for. Any idea as to how video is handled with this device?

The only thing I care about is the Moto G will be released on Verizon Prepaid. I need a Verizon based phone for where I live.
