Firefox Mobile for Touch Pro to be released next week?
Yet another mobile internet browser is set to be released as beta for Windows Mobile next week. The team over at WMExperts is reporting that the Firefox Mobile browser, codenamed Fennec, could be ready for testing on the HTC Touch Pro. Mozilla did create a browser for the Windows Mobile platform a while back, but discontinued support for it. Many will argue which is king when it comes to browsers for that platform. So far every one released for it have been superior to pocket Internet Explorer. Will Fennec have the bells and whistles to match other superior mobile browser such as mobile Safari? Let’s hope it will improve the overall experience we get on a mobile device.

What about _Android_ for the Touch Pro? That's what I really want...

Android for the Touch Pro? We're talking about browsers here, not OS...

No, we're talking about software on the Touch Pro. Or what we'd want to see on the Touch Pro. I don't see anything in the article that says "you must restrict your replies to being about browsers, and not OS".

What about Skyfire? So far Skyfire seems to be the most comprehensive browser for WinMo devices, (with full Java and Flash support). Unfortuantely, resolution is still lackluster for higher end res devices (like the Touch Pro), and since it wasn't customized for the Touch Pro, it's still a little akward to navigate around zooming in and out. I think the best would be something like Opera with Flash and Java support. Streamking video is just a must these days. Adam
