Feedly adds 500,000 new users in 48 hours after Google announces Reader shut down

With Google telling users that Google Reader is on its way out starting on July 1st, Feedly said that it would look to copy the Reader API and will work to transition to it on July 1st while keeping the app running in light of the huge number of new users joining; Feedly promises to listen to new users and will try to add new features on a weekly basis

I started using feedly because I couldn't get flipboard on my laptop, it's a good service. Zite is also good. I'd love to see Google change its mind.
