Fallout Shelter gets new quests, room themes, Holiday Festivities in latest update

Once again, it's that time of the year when developers offer Halloween-themed updates for their apps and games. Fallout Shelter can't miss the opportunity to dress up its Dwellers in festive garb, so developer Bethesda announced a new update, which is available on both the Android and iOS platform.

Among the new changes implemented, Fallout fans will be pleased to know that Bethesda added Room Themes. With the help of a new Theme Workshop room that you must build, you will be able to craft room themes based on the four Fallout 4 factions: the Minutemen, the Railroad, the Brotherhood of Steel and the Institute. Keep in mind though the crafting recipes for these themes will be found on Quests.

If you don't like a theme that you've crafted and applied to your Vault, you can disable it at any time. And then you can enable it again if you've had a change of heart.

The update also introduces new quests, including the upcoming special event Holiday Quests, which should keep your Dwellers busy finding upgrades and gathering resources from the Wasteland.

This is the second year in a row that holiday celebrations will return to the Vault for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, claims Bethesda. Effective October, Halloween-themed outfits will be available as Quest rewards and spooky room themes will be out for grabs for a limited time.

Last but not least, the update brings a new batch Fallout Shelter of iMessage stickers, including a set of Halloween-themed stickers for iOS 10 users.

These are all the new features and improvements included in update 1.8, but they are plenty and fun to achieve while playing Bethesda's Fallout Shelter game.
