Facebook for Windows Phone gets a nice speed bump
Share:
It looks like Facebook has been pretty busy recently in working on its mobile app offerings on various platforms. First, we saw the iOS Facebook app go native, leading to big performance improvements. Then Facebook introduced its new Photo Sync option, and released a native-code version of the Android app as well. Now, the Windows Phone Facebook app is also getting a speed boost.
Unfortunately, Facebook version 4.1 for Windows Phone doesn't get any other added features, but the speed boost is quite noticeable. The other downside to the update is that it is not available for older Windows Phone handsets, and does appear to require Windows Phone 8.
If you want to grab the update, it's available for free over at the Windows Phone Store.

Too bad they're not making an app for Windows 8. :-(

They will probably release an update for WP7 at a later date, great to see them focussing on WP a bit.

I barely use the Facebook app on my phone because of the PeopleHub. But this is a good thing for Windows Phone 8 users.

Agreed. The people hub keeps me from visiting FB directly most of the time but still nice to see
