The FCC has issued a disturbing statement this Sunday saying that telephone service disruptions in the areas affected by hurricane Irene are about to get even worse. All cell sites that are currently running...

Hopefully within the next 3-5 years there will be no cellphone towers anywhere in the world, everything will be in space, via satellite cellular towers. No international roaming and service everywhere even during the worst disasters.

Yeah, but satellite communications can still be interrupted by atmospheric and astronomical events, so it's still not a perfect system.

you are right, However the system is good, there will be some link or communication on earth which can be destroyed anytime by nature disaster, terrorists. etc

Bravo FCC, thank you for telling us something anyone with a brain could figure out. Instead of posting useless announcements, why don't you and do something about AT&T trying to kill competition by buying T-Mobile.
