The opening sentence to the FCC's announcement really tells the whole story: "To say that a spectrum auction is long overdue is an understatement." Wireless carriers have been complaining about a lack of spectrum for quite a while as the demand for wireless service has skyrocketed over the past few years. Now, the FCC is finally planning its first major wireless spectrum auctions since 2008...

well when say someone is @ work or not a their pc, they can download large file, say, a Blueray, and THEN watch it from their phone either 1.plugged into tv as a USB drive, so u dont gotta Stream n get Resolution flucuations like on Netflix sometimes 2. jus use TV as second screeen via mini HDMI or USB to HDMI, again No Streaming problems. and 3.You jus TRANSFER the file via usb on ur computer to your HDD thats plugged into your AC router and nd stream like that. 4.(best way i think) jus move file from phone to a usb stick, n stick that in TV and enjoy! then u get to hold ur Phone!! either way, (u can get creative) u DONT GOTTA WAIT TO DOWNLOAD at home. Thank you.
n the Caps are me putting Emphasis on the parts that are SO Easy to get, yet, u aparently didnt get it. so i gotta make it obvious for the Idiots out there :D are you an Idiot sir??? didnt think so, so pay no mind to my caps.

And here I was thinking that FHD displays on tiny cell phones were just battery hogs, and then I'm presented to this: a guy who actually downloads blu-rays (presumably legally, presumably 1080p mkv? 7.1 channel? 8gb+ files) to watch on his cell phone? Was it a tablet, and were the guy a traveler that spends more time on the sky than everything else, I could understand, but this is a little bit too much for me...
As for the spectrum auction, I hope T-Mo gets some of the fun, and most of all, that no carrier preys on T-Mo... Legere is just getting pumped up, I'd hate to see corporate vultures stopping the guy's daring, crazy, yet unbelievably right decisions...

at least u make sense abt watching on phone. but thats obviouslly not what i ment, since most cant display 1080 anyway. its kinda a given since were on a phone site, but i forgive u since i know there are idiots on here. not that u are one btw

Legere is just there to spark interest in the company so that it can sell for more money...

More spectrum, less congestion, maybe that might encourage carriers to charge for data based on speed instead of amount of data. . .
Well one can dream anyway.

T Mobile probably has the best plans of the big 4 - 50/60/70 for one line, even less when you add more lines, for 500MB/2.5GB/Unl GB data with unl voice and talk, or 5GB of data with unl msgs and 200 min of talk time for 30.00/mnth with a prepaid deal
