If the droid 2 doesn't have the high end specs like the new phones do, I'm going with the droid shadow either way.

what ssucks is that it looks a bit smaller. I hope the screen size got a little bigger. And no d pad i hope it had an optical mouse. I have a feeling that even though it may have some parts that are nicer i am guessing it is going to feel and be a cheaper version.

ugh! the qwerty on the Droid looks much better and uniformed and i personally would welcome a better designed D-pad on the Droid2, i mean they could've made it shorter and put function keys over it and also offset the qwerty in the normal way like the Ally or they could make that odd chin part at the bottom concealed by the front screen so they could move the D-pad more to the right and have more room for a centered keyboard...well i can complain and fantasize about keyboard designs all night long but THAT OOGLY keyboard would be enough to make me go for this keyboard-less Droid beast that Motorola haz to offer and with a 4.1 (4,3 who cares?) screen then i don't think i'll complain about the ol virtual qwerty TOO bad. xD

From the looks of the keyboard, I'm guessing the screen will be the exact same size. Looks like they are going for a dark blue color insteaf of black. Which I'm also not too fond on. It almost appears they are trying to make the droid shadow the obvious choice to get. I have used the hd2 so even if its 4.1, the on screen keyboard should be large enough. I just hope the shadows screen is wider than droids, not just longer. If you compared the hd2 and droids screen, hd2 is so much wider too.

I think Motorola was afraid to copy LG or somebody like that. Lets face it Moto can't make keyboards.

This keyboard looks like a cheaper version of the current keyboard and if the phone only come's in a dark blue thats going to suck. I hope thats not the final keyboard. I was hoping for some button seperation.

First of all the new picture is at a different angle than the Droid I. No way to tell exact dimensions. It seems to be the same size. Second, I dont see a blue color anywhere. Its about the crappiest lighting and angle you could get in the picture. Lots of funky glare just makes it look blue. Besides if its metal like the original its going to have a different texture than the keyboard plastic. Take some time and actually study the picture.

ohhh okay! yeah, we all should have thought to think that just because the light reflecting off of it made it LOOK blue that the texture of the metal made it NOT blue! gosh we're so dumb! thank you for your input sir! yeah, bullshit aside, you should adjust the brightness on your screen and really take some time to study yourself gambino37, it's blue but it's probably just a not painted pre-production model. xD

Gambino37 does have a point that apparently you didnt think of and seein as you are ok with callin yourself dumb ill go ahead and call you dumb too. Its a picture with light glare...but the bottom line is its a picture, so at this point we dont know what the ACTUAL color is...but you seem to be so sure as if you have one in your hand. Hopefully for your sake when these phones do release it is blue b/c otherwise you are goin to look pretty stupid...tryin to be a smart ass.

you know maybe you should have read my comment a little more carefully before you replied. now tell me would glare from what ever source of light that it's probably emanating from such as an over head lamp or desk light be reflecting blue light onto the device? no and this being a picture is irrelevant so don't even gimme that and if you'll just open your eyes you'll see that even the most mildly illuminated areas show the outer casing to be blue and that is what i see by the picture not by one in my hand but i'm not saying when this thing comes out it'll be blue which you would have already figured out if you finished reading the comment. it's probably just the pre-production color so i'm not telling you to look for a blue Droid in your future pal, i'm just giving an explanation as to why a Droid is such an odd color right now.

...okay, you want something else? the number/symbol chracters on the keyboard..are blue. -_- if you can't see that then you guys must have some funky color settings on your monitors coz i've looked on my compooper and my phone and it's still blue.

yeah thats definitely blue with blue accents. and like he said its prob just pre-production... just like how we thought the droid had red accents not gold...
