Estimates show 16.8 million to 32 million Apple iPads were sold in Q4 2012

A compilation of forecasts from independent and Wall Street analysts show an average estimate of 25.5 million and 22.8 million Apple iPads sales for the fourth quarter, respectively; the 24 million median figure would be 55% over last year's number, but would actually amount to 67% growth when last year's added week is taken into consideration...

Android nation will definitely not like this, if its goods news for apple. I don't know y it's like that, but it is. I root for tech, and yes I bought an iPad and love it... I also love my note 2, and iPhone 5 ahhhhhhhhh tech bliss.

You'd be very wrong, unless you were being very sarcastic.

Good ipad sales is great, it show that consumer are embracing tablet as a platform. I am happy for their sales as long as Android or other advance platform can move forward as well.
I sold my iPad 3 after using the galaxy tab 7.7 because i like its flexibility and its also much cheaper to own.

If I should buy a tablet, that's gonna be ipad
and that's just because of the iOS Apps "at the moment"
But you know in the near future...
Sooner or later, likely Android first will catch up iOS Apps in tablet too like they did on smartphones
I reckon 2years the maximun
Then unless Apple invents the real thing, they will lose a lot in tablet too

I truly hate Apple with a passion and I have nothing bad to say about this. The only thing that surprises me is that with the economy in shambles, there is so many more new purchases. Hey as long as I don't have to use one, I'm cool with how ever many they sell.

Amen Brotha! Although I do wonder why anyone would bother to spend $400-$800 on the latest iPad, just for Apple to release another one in 6 months, this is going to piss off alot of people in a tight economy.

The reason they bought iPad is because it's cheaper than iPhone, and bigger screen than iPhone...
consumer will never compare iPad with android tablets... if they have an android phone, they will make sure themselves to get iPad simply because they wanna taste the ios... Simple as that :)

Not exactly. In my household the ratio is 4:1 Android (that one being an iPod touch) and that didn't push me to "try" an iPad I've visited stores in the mall to toy with the iPad and I bought a Galaxy tab 2. just saying everybody loves it . Kudos thought

I don't see a reason for you to get an iPad.... You already have an iPod tho... Both are same old boring iOS... It just that most consumer would pick iPad over iPhone iPod as their one and only iOS device... That's all...

If iOS is boring, then why so you troll on articles saying its the best?

Just because it's boring doesnt mean it's useless :(

I was thinking the same thing. I could make an estimate from under a rock with that big of a range
18. rusticguy posted on 14 Jan 2013, 04:49 1 0
What sort of an estimate is this with a spread of 15 million? This is like sayiong that entire Galaxy line of phones from samsung must have sold 100-200milion but guess what no one would do such projections when it comes to non apple products as only fool would buy into such "projections" :)
