I hope Google comes with news regarding this matter I'm thinking there could be two lines of work, one that deals with the providers and ensures devices get updated faster, other line for those who create devices for people looking for "smart less phones" (i know some that are happy with 1.6 or 2.1 on their phones and that where not thinking updates)
regarding the update mater i belive some companies got into android without thinking they where going to have to give updates frequently to phones and are having trouble getting used to that, (setting up an os for the first time is never easy) hopefully will see updates more often from manufacturers, but I still think Google should slow the android train a bit.
regarding the phone matter... well i prefer a phone a day.... i dont like to see a lot of people with my phone, it makes me feel like a bought some acatel phone.
