What's innovative about the Torch again? Plenty of touchscreen slider's out there...and seein as the Storm was the first Blackberry touch device...i would say you have your story backwards sir. -1 for you.

You obviously don't know what sarcasm is, so -10 for you! idiot

Old entry... That has been there about 6 weeks. 1GHz CPU? OS6? Capacitive screen? Interesting...

3. crappypunk posted on 19 Oct 2010, 07:50 1

storm has always been capacitive

Yes, but the buzz is that surepress is going away...

Insanity by definition is trying the same thing the same way and expecting different results .....when will RIM learn

Ugh this will fail just as hard as the rest of the Storms did. Verizon needs to just stop selling them. We were at a 40% return rate last I knew

40% return rate on the Storm 2? What part of the country are you in?

The first one was a piece, no question, but we've actually been pretty successful with the Storm 2. It never had a tenth of the buzz of the first one but I've had maybe three come back for tech issues since we started selling them.

Blackberry needs SOME kind of touchscreen BB, lest they risk becoming completely irrelevant to casual smartphone consumers. I think the issue is whether it needs to be surepress or not. It's really a love/hate relationship the general public has with it. I personally loved it (when it worked, of course, I had the 1st Storm), and I'm of the opinion that if the original didn't have such a high rate of failure that it might have been more warmly received as a whole. A 1+ gig processor with OS 6 and surepress would be pretty cool to me.

Just my opinion of course.

Cellebrite is used by every carrier for one, so Verizon would not be the only one to get an update with that phone on it. My machine was just updated and no Storm3. They don't normally put new phones in an update till about 1 week after launch. So I'd have to say this "insider" pic is false

Just updated my Cellebrite. No Storm3.

11. VZW Tech (unregistered) posted on 19 Oct 2010, 11:19

We've had it on our Cellebrite for a while. VZW Loc-D6196-01. but still does not mean we (VZW) are going to carry it...but i'm pretty sure we will.

Loc P558901, I haven't seen a Storm3 in my Cellebrite. We update twice a month.

TheBerryFix.com posted a pic like this from CellBrite on Oct 15th so you can't call this an exclusive. http://www.theberryfix.com/blackberry-storm-3-canceled-new-evidences-proves-otherwise Also, BBLeaks.com posted information that the 9570 was canceled by RIM. http://www.bbleaks.com/2010/10/blackberry-storm-9570-canceled-for-all.html I hope they're wrong because I'd like to see an updated Storm with OS 6 until we can get a new touch screen Blackberry with the upcoming QNX OS.

Did you all notice that verizon put the blackberry storm 2 on sale for $79.99 today or buy one get one free??? you know that means the storm 3 is coming out very soon.

Someone is not doing their homework in the "leaking" business. VZW's June 2010 (spanish only) retail sales brochure also known as "the guide" or "tu guia" has the Storm 3 in it as "coming soon. . . Storm 3". They were promoting the worl cup with the whole "v-cast video's on demand" to watch the world cup on you're BB, android or Multi-media phone." I have a copy if you want to see it.
I just think is funny that you guys make it seem so mysterious, and you actually paid someone to send you a pic of the UME (cellbrite) to leak this info on you're site.
BTW, storm 3 is not coming out on VZW.
