ETEN M600+ announced

ETEN announced the launch of the M600 Pocket PC phone successoring during the Computex Taipei 2006 expo. The M600+ will have the same design as its predicessor and will keep the same 400 Mhz Samsung processor. The camera will be upgraded to 2 mega pixels and Bluetooth 2.0 support will be added. The memory is also doubled to 256 MB. The phone is running the latest editon of Microsoft's Windows Mobile 5 operating systems and has the latest "service pack" installed - AKU2. It allows Direct Push Email - a service similar to the RIM Blackberry Connect, where the user does not retrieve its emails, but they are pushed to him by a server. Unfortunately, the upgrade still lacks EDGE high speed data.

The M600+ will be available soon in all regions and will be priced only reasonably higher then the M600.

  • 4.4" x 2.4" x 0.9" (111.5 x 60.5 x 22mm)
  • Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi
  • GPRS data
  • 2 mega pixel camera
  • Windows Mobile 5 AKU2
