ESRB and CTIA planning on teaming up to create a ratings system for mobile apps

The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) and the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) are working together to create a universal, standardized rating system for mobile games and apps.

Awesome!!! I think this is a great idea. but please improve on the E-T-M ratings.. they are so shallow hahaha. ex) Halo should not have the same rating as grand theft Auto IMHO.

I have a feeling that this is eventually going to be used as a parental control for parents to control what apps their children are allowed to buy. I mean they already have an allowance system, so I am sure this would be next.
