Awesome. Now all three phone in my house will be ICS, less than 3 months after getting them. My SGS3, daughters RAZR Maxx, and now the wife's Droid 4.

Long time coming for Droid 4 users who are still rocking Gingerbread. Unfortunately they're still an upgrade behind with Jellybean being the current one. Shame it took quite a bit of time for some of the major phones to finally get ice cream sandwich.

It doesn't really matter, since the competition is only now catching up to gingerbread, so well still be ahead.

Not exactly ahead. Jellybean just introduced Project Butter where the software is supposed to be more optimized for a smoother experience. Problem most Android devices are already now starting to go ahead with ICS while the competition has been doing a form of Project Butter for years now.

ICS is smooth as butter already. Hell, my Thunderbolt on Gingerbread was butter smooth, and that was a single core.

But, I was referencing features, mainly. The competition is still neutered compared to Gingerbread.

Project Butter doesn't have concessions like the competition's "forms" of Project Butter does.

Pardon me while I angrily gnaw on my Bionic...

9. cthunder posted on 13 Aug 2012, 14:21 3

Haha! I hear ya. Wasn't the Bionic promised before the Razr?

10. cheeseycheeser posted on 13 Aug 2012, 14:30 1

This is getting ridiculous! How much work could it possibly be to get ICS on the bionic if its already on the Razr!

12. OptimusOne posted on 13 Aug 2012, 16:44 1

droid bionic has different type of screen

droid bionic=tft
razr=amoled

16. KingKurogiii posted on 13 Aug 2012, 16:51 1 1

that doesn't make a difference and besides the Droid 4 has a TFT-LCD Display.

14. KingKurogiii posted on 13 Aug 2012, 16:46 1

just get the leak. I've learned from the Droid 4's and the Bionic's progress that it follows very closely to the Razr. Motorola's not going to push it for either of them until the issues they found with the Razr's rollout are resolved. if the Droid 4's is coming soon then the Bionic's is too.

Running theleak for ICS on the Bionic right now and I don't know why the update is taking so long to officially get out there. BTW Bionic runs with awesomeness with ICS

I can't wait for this update, hopefully it will also have a fix for the 4g connectivity flipping between 3 and 4g, maybe a little better battery life too

19. KingKurogiii posted on 14 Aug 2012, 21:09 1

both of those will be improved with the upgrade.
