A paper outlining prototype called „Mobile Terminal” reveals the Sony Ericsson idea to come up with a cell phone in a bracelet form factor. Actually... why not? Cell phone watches are a fact of life already, but the bracelet differs from them in that it allows use of both hands if something needs to be typed away like really fast. In this case its screen can be turned sideways and operated via keys located on the bracelet body. Only buttons are being mentioned at this time, which tips us off that the device won´t come equipped with touch sensitive screen. The rumor also has it that at Sony Ericsson are planning to roll out an entire line of devices, called "Essence", with all phones in it coming in weird shapes and forms - like this bracelet. The whole thing reminds of the once famous Siemens Xelibri lineup that rolled out at the beginning of 2003.

Sony Ericsson´s bracelet device has already been patented, although we somehow doubt we will see it on the market. Still, let´s trust that old saying that goes "anything is possible" and sit tight.

innovative.. it's good to see different form factor rather than old bar, flip and slider one...But it can be a wearable for only ladies since it's a bracelet phone..
