As expected, Zynga has purchased OMGPOP for over $200 million basically to grab the sizzling hot mobile game "Draw Something"; 15 million users are drawn to the game (no pun intended) daily and it is a perfect addition for the company that owns "Words with Friends"...

to me this seems too overinflated… they must be buying more omgpop than the game..it seems to fleeting to be 200 mill

Maybe you skimmed over this "OMGPOP brings in $250,000 a day from the game (after Apple takes its 30% slice) and is available in a free and paid version. The free version generates 1 billion ad impressions a day".

no i read it… i dont not read articles before commenting… but that number is fleeting… in 2 months i doubt that number will be the same… it seems like apps go through popularity rise and falls (ie PvZ, fieldrunners, stickwars, etc.)… barely any sustain popularity.. so i am just thinking they are going more for the creative minds behind the app rather than the initial app.. the app would have to retain its popularity for over a year to be effective

LOL i was sitting here feeling the same way...
all one has to do is come up with a brilliant app idea get it passed thru apple's app store then it becomes overwhelmingly popular... android then picks it up then BAM!!! millionaire status!
