Does the HTC Ruby have a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon under its hood?
0. phoneArena 14 Aug 2011, 10:28 posted on
Heading to T-Mobile is the HTC Ruby based on some leaked photos of the device wearing the carrier's brand; the phone will offer some real high-end specs like a blazing fast 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, a 4.3 inch qHD display and rear and front facing cameras weighing in at 8MP and 2MP respectively...

Why do phone manufacturers keep throwing killer phones at T-mo? They're shedding customers like a Sasquatch in August. I'd think it was a great idea if the deal with AT&T was looking like it was going to fall through, but I haven't heard that it was, and to my understanding T-mo wants the deal to happen. Are they perhaps telling us something without actually telling us?
But on the record, there's been no shortage of killer phones surface from the rumor mill this year. They always seem to shed most or all of their killer features before they become official. Not saying it won't happen.

Actually FCC released some document that can end the whole merger thing. Apparently At&t doesnt need Tmo to spread LTE it just wants to monopolize.

psyche, not psychic. :)
If its an S4 id look under its hood... if its just an overclocked S3, still not interested.

idiot, check the definition of psychic ...the article is correct
11. remixfa (Posts: 14255; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
"The only damage we see if these specs are correct, would be to the psychic well being of those who just bought the HTC Sensation"
It should read
"the only damage we see if these specs are correct, would be to the well being of the PSYCHE of those who just bought the HTC Sensation"
Unless everyone who just bought a sensation has psychic powers, its incorrect. If the author was talking about the persons feelings of inner self, soul, self worth, ect.. than they meant to say psyche. It was probably nothing more than a MS Office autocorrect typo, which is why i pointed it out with a big smile.
and if ur going to come at someone on the forums, register, and use your real ID. Dont be a Taco.

Very true, Verizons getting the Vigor and Sprint is getting the Holiday. I wonder what at&t is getting?
10. Carlos (unregistered)
Sprint isnt the one getting the Holiday, its AT&T getting the holiday. It was announced a while back with the HTC Puccini tablet for ATT. I:
The question now is, what is Sprint getting?
20. luis_lopez_351 (Posts: 951; Member since: 18 Nov 2010)
i ment the Kingdom my bad :) Sprint is getting the Kingdom, Tmo getting the ruby, Verizon getting the Vigor and Att i guess holiday. I think HTC is doing that to compete with the Upcoming SGSII and Iphone5.
24. ArmageddonX (Posts: 96; Member since: 11 May 2011)
Sprint got the Evo3D. The Kingdom is a Tier 2 phone with a single core processor.

Really??? Sucks for sprint. Not everyone wants a power hungry 3D phone :/

Still a fail when compared to the exynos because the snapdragon soc still uses the adreno 220 which is inferior to the mali or powervr compared to tiomaps.

psyche was suppose to be the right word mate though psychic is almost similar but not the same

Maybe the manufactures keep giving T-Mobile the killer phones because T-Mobile is asking for them. T-Mobile is probably making every attempt it can to stop the hemorrhage of its customer base, & supplying its customers with killer phones is possibly one method they're using as a solution. Remember, T-Mobile stated during the announcement of their merger to At&t, they will continue to operate as an independent company until the merger is approved. So, they have to conduct business as usual. Just because they anticipate they will be bought-out by At&t is no excuse to slack off. Imagine if the merger was rejected by the, FCC, T-Mobile would have lost millions because of their decision to slack-off.
13. the icrap destroyer (unregistered)
actually no, cuz if the merger doesnt go through at&t has to pay tmobile 6 billion dollars so they still dont lose money even if they dont slack off
16. depeche (Posts: 62; Member since: 04 Feb 2011)
Actually, AT&T has to pay T-Mobile's Parent company, Deutsche Telecom.. who says they will share the money with T-Mobile USA
28. Galen20K (Posts: 524; Member since: 26 Dec 2008)
I agree because Deutsche Telecom has ALWAYS been stingy w/ my T-Mobile. The whole reason that T-Mobile hasn't done well is because DT refused time after time to give T-Mobile USA the funds they need to stay competitive even tho the US branch asked for it. It's almost as if DT hates the United States. = / If they had just given them the money before this potential merger situation may never have happened.

T-mobile Do Not have 4G network Yet, as At&t.
But, Verizon & Sprint has 4G network, but Nextel.
T-mobile & At&t has 3G network wich callled HSPA+.
they advertise as they have already 4G netwrok, on TV ad.
But, if you go to At&t.com and search for 4G network about it,
you will find they notated on their own webiste saying, " we will get 4G network end of this year 2011". but, people work in cellphone industry say, At&t will have 4G network by end of next year.
in my personal opinon, reasons Steve at apple could not make iphone5 as 4G are as
1. At&t do not have 4G network. wich is their main carrier ..
2. can't keep "Thin" design as before, cause 4G chip & 3G chip both have to be on 4G phone to make phone do "Multi-Tasking, mean by Multi-Tasking... you can do phone call and internet surfing at same-time.

T-mobiles 3.9G over Unstable Verizons pre4G and Sprints Old Slow 4G anyday.
23. iwebdroidberry7 (Posts: 230; Member since: 17 Jan 2011)
Unstable? Ill take my 4G with decent coverage over your 3.9G thats basically non existant.
26. luis_lopez_351 (Posts: 951; Member since: 18 Nov 2010)
My areas is great so im not tripping. But Verizons LTE outages are Nationwide and common. x2 if u own a thundercrap.
29. Galen20K (Posts: 524; Member since: 26 Dec 2008)
I travel a lot and every city I've "always" had fantastic HSPA+ coverage with T-Mobile. Perhaps you should actually have the service for a year before you can make a statement like that. Podunk, Back-woods, middle of nowhere, BFE towns aside that is. I never travel to third world towns.

Icrap destroyer (Unregistered), I don't think you fully understand what I said. If T-Mobile decides to slack-off because they assume the merger with At&t is going to pass the, FCC, then the ,FCC, rejects their merger. T-Mobile, will lose millions because they didn't remain competitive by attracting new customers with new products, services, or improvements in their network. In essence, if T-Mobile decided to sit back & do nothing for the entire year, they would have lost a year to their competitors. T-Mobile, (Deutche Telecom) receives the $6 billion regardless of their level of competitiveness. Why do you think it's good to conduct business half-assed because you're guaranteed $6 billion?
